This is one of my favorite blog posts. The author tells an anecdote from his management consulting career, and based on it, presents an excellent analysis of a certain class of words that reliably signal a pitfall in communication / planning / project management.
After reading this, I started to notice myself using words like this, and basically (!) every time, it’s signaled exactly the sort of thing Gerald Weinberg describes. I would call this blog post required reading for any serious project team or organization.
